Students will read 2 books for each quarter. With each book they will log-onto the Creek Reading Forum and answer the following questions in the correct section of the site.

Click your class period, then click your quarter and the book for that quarter.
For example: Quarter 2 book 1 response ___:
Answer the following information in that space:
Response 1 should include the following:
* book title and author
* reason for choosing book
* initial reaction
* identify what genre it is and how you know
* description of the exposition. (this includes characters and setting.)
Response 2 should include the following:
*Interesting character: describe what they are like, and give a character trait that fits them. Are they a minor or major character, flat or round, static or dynamic, antagonist or protagonist... use all that great vocabulary we have studied. (If you are reading a NONFICTION book, and you don't have a character, write what the central idea of the book, and the author's purpose for writing the book)
*Conflict in the story: Describe the conflict/problem. What is happening, is it character vs. self/nature/society/character. Explain how you know
*Interesting/inspirational quote or passage from the book: write the quote/passage (in quotations with page number) then describe why you selected it.
*Describe anything confusing or unclear (What part of the book is a mystery to you?)
Response 3 should include the following:
* Recommendation to peers
* Evaluation of the book
* Think back to response 2, did your questions get answered as you read
* Were there sections foreshadowed the resolution of the book?
